I am a Family Historian who has been involved in this crazy hobby since the mid 1990’s. Otherwise, I have a full time job, so I tend to plan my vacation time to include trips to family history related locations. I love seeing where my ancestors spent their time! I appreciate the wealth of on-line data available these days, which allows me to streamline my on-the-ground research.

Growing up in a Military family meant moving frequently and therefore not being around family. We finally settled in the South which was no where close to where other relatives lived. Not being around extended family members much except for a short visit here or there meant that I didn’t get to develop close relationships with extended family members & didn’t get to hear many of the family stories.

As I have done research, I have learned so much about my ancestors and how they lived. I would like to take this opportunity to share some of their stories with anyone who might be interested.
